Jamie Biddle founded Verdis Investment Management in December 2004. He is responsible for firm strategy and oversees all functions including: Investment Management, Finance, Operations and Investor Relations. Jamie leads Verdis’ Investment team, which is responsible for the development and management of investment strategy, portfolio construction, manager sourcing and selection, due diligence and risk management. Jamie is responsible for all of the firm’s real estate and natural resources investments, including the management of the firm’s real assets funds-of-funds. He is a member of Verdis’ Investment Committee and Verdis’ Residential Real Estate Investment Committee.
Jamie has over 25 years of private equity and direct operating experience with particular expertise in the energy and power industries. Prior to forming Verdis, Jamie was President and CEO of Orcom Solutions (2001-2003), a leading provider of outsourced customer care and billing services to electric, gas and water utilities in North America. Orcom had approximately 400 employees with offices in four states. The company was originally purchased in March 2000 by a group of private equity firms (including the Blackstone Group and Thomas H. Lee Partners) led by Jamie and was sold to Alliance Data Systems (NYSE:ADS) in December 2003. Prior to Orcom, he was a principal with EnerTech Capital Partners (1997-2001), a private equity firm specializing in investment opportunities in the energy and power industries.
Jamie earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (1997) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania (1989). He serves as President of the Andalusia Foundation and as Trustee of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association.
