We are committed to giving back to our local communities. Whether we participate as a team in charitable activities, host collections for food or goods, or provide financial contributions, we strive to create a difference for charitable organizations in the Philadelphia area.
Our Community Outreach Committee’s mission is to match employee interests with volunteer opportunities, as we believe volunteerism is most meaningful when our employees choose the causes they serve.
We take pride in our volunteer efforts and believe our team members gain as much from dedicating their time and resources to these organizations as the charities do from our outreach.
Philabundance Food Drive: Verdis proudly supports Philabundance’s efforts through an annual food drive, donating hundreds of pounds of food to those in need throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
Cradles to Crayons: Verdis regularly joins Cradles to Crayons to assist with preparing customized packs of goods for local children and families. Cradles to Crayons provides children living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive at home, at school, and at play.
Share Food Program: Verdis assists Share with harvesting food and preparing supply packages for local families and children. Share provides emergency food relief to low-income Philadelphia residents facing hunger.
Philabundance Gleaning Program: Verdis is proud to have harvested corn as the first corporate participant in Philabundance’s Gleaning Program, which organizes volunteers to harvest crops, providing access to nutritious foods to those in need.
